Meet Monica the creator of Cashew Later Sauce. A Registered Dietitian, Monica earned her credentials at SDSU. Like many of us with college degrees, our heart leads us elsewhere, and Monica found her true passion is cooking for and feeding other people. With her background in nutrition she wanted to share that healthy eating could still taste really good. Stuck in quarantine lockdown, Monica’s creativity found its outlet in her kitchen making yummy sauces. While sharing her goods with friends, she was encouraged to sell her product and was offered an investment to do so. One investor turned to two and Monica has recently launched 5 variations.
These concoctions are the perfect dipping sauce, and also make an awesome salad dressing, spread, or a delightful drizzle to add that extra pizazz!
Bootstrapping can conjure creativity and Monica has used hers not only for the recipes but to brand her product. The clever name, Cashew Later in addition to the skateboarding “nut” logo, and self-designed label and recipe variations is a testament to some serious small business savvy.
